Re: Have you ever met a posh bloke.....
My bro-in-law (who is a very posh, barrister type), seriously wanted to name his son Peregrine.

Thankfully he was talked out of it by my sis-in law who managed to steer it towards a rather easier to live with, Nicholas.

I once met Major General Miles Francis Stapleton Fitzalan-Howard, 17th Duke of Norfolk, KG, GCVO, CB, CBE, MC, DL

As can be seen his name was Miles not Tom or Oliver and you cannot actually meet anyone posher than that unless it’s the royal family itself.

So in answer to the question...

Yes.

Re: Have you ever met a posh bloke.....
Funnily enough one of the poshest blokes I've ever met was (with his Mrs) princess Diana's babysitters when she was a little girl, nice old couple, living in a grace & favour cottage in deepest Hampshire on some minor royals estate..
Other notable poshest people are Clive Watson chairman of the city pub company (& father of some made in Chelsea brats) & Lord & Lady Myner.. thoughto be fair, nature of my work, I've met quite a lot over the years...

Re: Have you ever met a posh bloke.....
Used to work with an enormously fat chap who was something like 71st in line to the throne. Certainly the poshest man I've been associated with and a right cunt to boot. Would happily have used the poor as fuel for his mansion's heating system. Named Matthew but thought it was common so went with his middle name of St John.

The only other St John I've known was some Draco Malfoy type at university and he was a right cunt too.

I do love a proper posh bloke. Lovely and down to earth. The nouveau middle class can poke it.

Got invited to the rugby last year,
Five of us, three were called Rupert!

All were incredibly posh, drank like fishes, swore like troopers. Were actually very good fun.

Re: Have you ever met a posh bloke.....
The very fact you state that 'every third fella' is called one of these dictates that 66% of posh blokes are not called Tom or Oliver. THUS: you answered your own question.

Re: Have you ever met a posh bloke.....
The funny thing about it is that his family are as rich as Croesus but he's having none of it, and now lives on his own in a one bed flat in Buckhurst Hill.
